Hanging DIY Bass Traps - Problem With Material Sagging

I've built 3 of the 9 bass traps for my studio. They are 2'x4'x6" OC703. They are framed on the back with 1x3 and the fabric wraps around and is stapled to the frame. I'm using a polyester fabric and I just noticed that the 703 slides on the frame and causes the fabric to stretch and sag whan I place it at 45 deg on the wall/ceiling corner.

Is there any way I can prevent this?

I built my absorbers the same way but used multiple 3/4" thick FG panels glued to each other with a spray contact adhesive. The same adhesive was used to glue the FG to the frame.

You could also use a contact adhesive on your frame, but I would supplement this with a few 2 " finishing nails (the ones with a tiny head) driven about 1/2 " into the framing at key points in order to "impale" the FG slab onto.

I used 2" OC703 and glued it to the 1x3 frame using 3M Super Duty spay adhesive. I then used the same glue to glue the remaining 2 sheets to each other for a total of 6".

The picture below shows the frame on top of the 3 sheets of 703. The white frame at the bottem is just plastic corner bead to give the front a nice crisp edge when wrapping the fabric.

I don't see how the glue can hold the OC703 to the frame thought because the fibers of the 703 are not tight like wood. It's easy to pull it apart. Easy enough that the weight of 3 - 2" panels easily pulss it away from the frame.

One word: chickenmesh. Stretch it across the frame a few mm away from the cloth. It will keep the insulation from touching the cloth.
