My long, one-car garage studio, construction phase

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

AND INDEED: a bump for more stories of how it's working!
Absolutely! I'll second that.

Come on, Mark! Time for an update!

Hi folks, I'm compelled to write my first post here in this forum.

I've been reading through this excellent forum for the last few months getting ready for my first studio design and build. There is so much information, and helpful advice, and expertise, and encouragement. And then I came across this thread, and read the whole 10 pages (while at work!): and it was enthralling! And, I have to admit (unashamedly) that when I got to the end I got all teary-eyed! What an achievement, and what an inspiration you are, Mark. I will be basing my design on this build, as, I'm sure, many others have, and will do well into the future.

So, Mark, as Stuart, and others have said: Come on, Mark! Time for an update!

Well done, and we're all looking forward to hearing how its going.
