Unlock the mystery of my Vox/Iso booth...

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Unlock the mystery of my Vox/Iso booth...

Post by Dr. J »

I just purchased the hradwood for my tracking
and control rooms, but can't seem to uncover
what is the prefered flooring for a vox or iso booth.

Can anyone tell me what is prefered for flooring,
ie carpet or hardwood etc.?

My booth will measure either 5' x 6', or 5' x 7'.

Thanks for the info,
J

Probably the Hardwood J. Depends how tight (dead) you want the booth to be.

Thanks John. I really appreciate the help.
Hardwood it is then.

I have been reading a great book called
"Building a recording Studio on a budget"
that has also been helpful, but in some areas
it is either silent or unrealistic financially for me.
Your forum has been filling in the grey areas
for me... Thanks again for your great help!

Blessings,
J
