Installing Directional cabinets?

Are these good Ideas? I was thinking of making corner cubby holes that sit in the 90 degree corner. What are the pros and cons of doing a type of installation like this? I would like to have that professional look, but at the same time, my studio is in my room. Im running low on space because I also have a Full size bed shoved in the corner. Does anyone have some links to some nifty studio space savers, perhaps things that keep things tidy, because I have having my basic speakers on the floor.
