Will this ceiling angle work ??

Or should the angle be the other way (angling up to the back of the room)

If i do it like the SAE pic. i will be able to add more and larger hangers.

Sloped ceilings should be high at the rear, lower at the front (speaker) end of the CR - otherwise, you'll need to heavily absorb the entire ceiling to keep early reflections under control... Steve

That’s what i thought......

I will use 703 for the suspended ceiling with hangers above it ,

I am still trying to figure out the best method of supporting the 2x4 703 without the common t bar look.

Any suggestions?

Yellow fiberglass pallet strapping - 2x framing for the slope you want, blocking as needed to keep things parallel, then use long roofing tacks and nail the fiberglass strapping across the inner joists at least every 2 feet to hold the 703 in place - cover with cloth, staple. Maybe some thin wood tape over joists to help keep cloth from tearing out - you can buy this in 3/4" wide strips for edge lamination of plywood... Steve

Thank you for your reply, i will use this method if i can get the strapping.

Im not clear on the strapping you are talking about.....
Please explain.

Do you nail the straps on the inside of the 2x4s like a cradle, or on the bottom of the 2x4s to make a checker board ?

my 2x4s are 24"( inside measurement)

Nail across the backs of your studs while frame is still laying on the floor - perpendicular to studs, spaced every 16-24", parallel to the floor when stood up... Steve
