Correct Seamus.

And the saying you were reaching for is "Cross your T's and dot your I's. It is a reference to reread, edit and correct your spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors in order to not be given a lesser grade on tests that require the written word as the vehicle to convey your message.

I thought that it was "remember to put the little thing on your Q's and make sure your P's backs are straight".
... or was that something else...
