Low Budget Home Studio, inner wall insulation

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Lookin pretty good, flynn. Seeing the same wall construction from ceiling to floor makes me much more comfortable! Sorry about the "low frequency" misunderstanding! I was like, "WTF?!"

I'm a little concerned about "stopping your wall short" at the floor, just in case you don't follow through with your floating floor. If you leave a gap down there, and don't build and seal up the gap between floor and wall, the wall may as well not even be there.

You may want to read up on caulking and backer rods.
