Any chance of a sketch showing what's already there, and maybe a second one showing what you plan to do? The more we know, the more likely we can suggest useful things... Steve

Anti-sway bracing. A few companies sell them, such as Kinetics Noise Control or Mason Industries. I'd offer you direct links, but I'm very short on time right now and both of their sites leave a lot to be desired (Mason especially so).
