Hey all. First time poster here, but I've been lurking and reading for a while.

I'm at the point where I'm about to start beefing up the ceiling in my basement between the joists and I need to get backer rod and acoustic caulk. I know there are quite a few people from Nashville on the forum, so I was hoping that somebody had an idea where the best (cheapest/easiest) place to get this stuff is around here. Bulk rolls of backer rod would be best, obviously.

I ended up finding USG Sheetrock brand Acoustic Sealant at Wallboard & Supply on Charlotte Ave for $5/tube. I have no idea if that's a good price or not.

I ordered some bulk 3/8" backer rod online and it ended up costing about $.03/foot after shipping.
