hi, some questions about "1 port resonator":
is it possible to convert the resonator in a different shape than the cube?
For example, five corner box to fit in a corner instead of a cube box as long as it's the same interior volume and the port diameter and port length?

is it possible to calculate the port to be rectangular as long as it is the same port area?

calculate with this, Helmholtz Resonator:

when look at the Hermann von Helmholtz orgial resonator, it's not cubic.
so the question is whether one can use the calculation of mh-audio for this or if it is limited to the cube?

Yes, no problem

Yes, you can.
just mouthcorrection changes a little. But don`t care about it, you have to tune your resonator anyway to hit the right frequency.
What Q do you need for the resonator?

I use Room eq wizard for measurements. I take find peaks, then Assign filters and optimise.
this is what filters do:
F:41hz, gain: -15, Q: 3,0 and bandwidth 13,71hz
41hz is the first legnth axial mode.
i don't know if it is right to look at the filters?

is it worth to build this type of Helmholtz in a recording room compared to sloted or perforted resonator?

absorption material should be against the back inside the box, right?
