building bass hangers to treat 125Hz and down

Hi,
I need to treat/trap some bass energy around 125Hz and down. Ive already got some acoustic foam traps in the corners, but i feel they're a little inadequate. They did a good job of 125-500Hz though. So I think ill build some bass hangers to try and tame this problem area.
Is there a size i should be aiming for.??
I was thinking of making a open box, wider than it is high, have a bunch of hangers in there with rockwool on all the sides and hangers, and cover the opening with some cloth.
Thoughts..??
Cheers.
