So after finishing all the insulation for my iso booth is done, I still have about 20 3"x16"x48" sheets of Roxul. So I would like to use it to build some panels for my control room. My space is roughly 13' x 9'.

Now I notice with bass traps, people tend to go with 4"x24"x48". Is the 4"x24" part necessary or will the 3x16" suffice for corners? As for the height, my ceiling is only 7' high, so stacking 2 48" tall panels in the corners are out. Would it be best to make those "super chunk" style panels instead? And for the side walls, I would thing 2" thick would be better over 3", correct?

Basically, here's a basic layout of my space. How would you best treat it quantity and panel dimensions-wise? There is also a 30x24 window for the booth mid way between the booth doors and the side wall. Booth window is about 12" from the ceiling!

the best bet - span the corners with 32" (2 x 16") floor to ceiling and put in pink insulation batts behind. cover the front with plastic and cloth. use a number of 16 x 48 cloth covered absorbers around the ceiling, first reflection points, and back wall.

By "pink insulation batts", you're referring to standard r30 from like lowes or home depot?

This is what I used: R30 because it was 24x48 and easy for me to cut into triangles for superchunks.

you should still "face" that stack with 4" rigid insulation to ensure maximum performance.
