Quick Bass trap Question

I have a small Iso room (8'x10') and I'm planing on Bass traping the whole thing top to bottom,ceiling etc. Would it be more effective to use 2" (say oc703) and have it 2" off of all walls,or use 4" 703 mounted directly on the walls?

Panels 2 inches thick with a 2-inch air gap absorb almost as well as 4 inch material flat on the wall.

Thank you for the info.I think I'll probably go 4" with a bit of air gap.
