Question for barefoot

I've got 2 fairly old (but in good condition) 16 ohm Celestion G12T-75 speakers and want to make a guitar cab with them. The feeder amp would be a 30Watt Orange amp.

Any specific tips on making a cabinet? - from what I've seen cabs are just an empty box with the speakers inside, input wired directly upto one speakers and then the others wired in parallel.

I was thinking of just making a nice box for them to sit in - should I stuff the box with something after the speakers are in, or just leave it an empty box?

I'm not thomas, but I'd recommend building a box so that the back is the last part you put on- that way, you can pop it on and off with the speakers in there, and decide whether you like the open or closed back sound better.
