Hi and thanks for looking in.
I work in a community centre that has a hall arpox 10m x 10m cement walls and floor, and large glass windows even talking in this room is difficult due to the reflection from every direction. We have having a horrible time with sound reflection around this area and I am desperately trying to find ways of absorbing the sound.
Currently we are going to build some of the hanging baffles that have been suggested in the forums and also placing in two large thick rugs.
My main question is, we have 3, 3m x 3m x 3.2cm deep paintings, would backing these paintings with acoustic 32,50 polyester be better at reducing the echo in the room or would it make no difference at all? I have no other options, its either back them or not bother hence asking if it may do even a little to suck out some of the sound and stop the room from being so live.
Thanks for any help
regards
Ray

Re: Are paintings better than nothing at all?
it might be useful for absorption to back the painting. also some heavy drapes hung in various places will help.
