I,m getting my new near fields soon, and will be bilding a small project studio (only a control room) in the near future, but i have no specific room at present though.

but is it worth soffit mounting such small speakers? what about over heating I hear they get quite warm with the built in amps?

any pointers would be great.

kind regards

kieran

Well once again i get to say it. :)

I Soffitted my Mackie HR824's and have nothing but good success. :)

if heat is a concer, buy a couple of 120mm Computer fans to blow air past the amplifier and power them up with a radio shack 12vdc adapter

I found this link about this topic but it only inludes information for passive hifi models: http://www.dynaudiousa.com/products/instal.htm

Maybe anyone here can help and has an info or a tip if Dynaudio Bm6a is soffit mountable? I have these speakers and love them. I´m building my studio right now and need to know if it is possible whith them. They are rear ported bass reflex system . I would hate to let them go cause I have worked whith them for quite a while and love their sound. It must be possible or? It would be really pissing me off if I have to change the speakers only of the soffit´s....
