Hi guys, i've just got all my equipment together so i can start producing music properly, i've got a basic setup. I've set up a DAW. I need a lil help in regards to hooking everything up. The equipment i've got is as follows...

- PC
- M-audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard
- Behringer MXB1002 mixer
- M-Audio Oxygen 8 midi controller
- Behringer truth B2031A studio monitors
- Rode NT1A

Basically i'm wondering how i should connect everything up, i feel a bit stupid asking this because its probably a simple answer..lol but i've never used any equipment to record, i've just been using random bits of software to create loops and arrange my beats.

If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

Outputs go to inputs. Which out's to which in's depends on what you need to do.

You can learn a LOT by RTFM's!

Hey Ed, long time no here - for the most part I'd agree with RTFM, and started out to bolster your point by downloading the manual for Sandeep's Behringer mixer - what a poor excuse for a manual - a total of 8 pages, couple of drawings of phone and XLR connectors, some basic specs, end of story...

I'm more used to things like Mackie provides - also Tascam, etc - all give MUCH more info than this sorry document does; things like several pages of representative hookup drawings for different functions, etc - several even have basic recording school built into the manual.

The Mackie info can be (for the most part) adapted to your Behringer mixer, you just need to figure out which in's and out's are the same function in each so you can adapt it to your Behringer.
