Tongue/groove 1x6 directly on studs... rattle ?

Hey... quick questions for yall gurus...

I'm putting up 1x6 T/G as my walls in my new cabin/studio.

I had a concern that, since I would be blind nailing, was there any possibility of rattle between the panel and studs. Put another way, would it be wise to apply something to the studs, e.g. Rubber or foam to prevent this? The walls are 2x4 with fiberglass insulation. I am nailing with 2" 16 gauge nails using a air nailer.

Thanks and cheers!

Tim

Hi Tim. Please read the forum rules for posting (click here). You seem to be missing a couple of things! :)

Then I'm assuming that your studio does not need any isolation ("soundproofing")?

Yes, that's very probable.
would it be wise to apply something to the studs,
The recommendation in any studio build is always to use non-hardening flexible caulk on the studs, partly for this reason and partly for other reasons too.
