Soundbooth/Sound proofing...

Alrigh...

I'm pretty clueless about this - so I may be way off point haha...

Basically, i only use my PC to record draft versions of tracks (only record vocals), but im restricted to when i can do this cos of the fact the whole house hears me when im recording...

If i build a soundbooth, will this elimate this problem? i dont have to be unheard, but just quieter...

I was thinking all i need is to build a booth from wood (not sure what type?) and then buy soundproofing foam for it...

Will this work or am i way off point?

like i said, i know nothing about this - just a quick though - so any help is MAD appreciated!

Cheers...

It will explain most of what it takes to get things sound "proof", and it's NOT foam... Steve

Oh, and you're probalbly right; although whisperroom sells booths that are takedown; they're just not very soundproof, and they cost around $5-6000... Steve
