each method have it's own problems and advantges. If anybody has an problem with sliding doors or doble doors winth window post it .

I think the mainly probles of slidng doors is the good isolation, I think is better with the second system. Otherwise, it offers a better comunication between control and live room, and a wide place to pass from one room to the oposite.

the two doors need an angle to open that sliding don't need.

the sliding are more reflective because of it's size.

Correct - you will never acheive with a sliding door the isolation that you can with a swinging door - not even if you look for custom isolating door assemblies - the isolating sliders cannot acheive the value of the swinging iso doors.

Well it all depends - if I have room at the side to get into my control room - then a large window is as effective as a glass door for seeing into each room.......... if not - if it has to be a door - then the slider is much more effective than a swinging door with glass.

We part paths here.......... you get the same opening space for gear from a 3' swingiing door as from a 3' sliding door - and - seeing as you have to pass through the space either way - and thus need to keep the width of the door open in front of it for people to pass through - neither door takes up more space than the other.

in other words - if you put gear in front of the slider - you have to move it to open and use the door - no different for the swinging doors.

Don't know exactly what you mean by this - glass is more reflective at higher frequencies - less at lower - a hollow core door is more reflective at lower frequencies than a slider.

A slider will pass much more low frequencies than a double solid core wood door assembly.
