I'm starting to work plans, but don't know much about room angles, treatments, acoustics, etc...
The attachment shows my current garage (22'x28') and part of my basement (the purple dashed line shows the current wall between them).
The circles are lally columns.
After reading some info on the saecollege site, recommended minimum ceiling height is 2.4 meters or 7'10" roughly. Chances are I will need to use a drop ceiling here due to ductwork and carrying beams. That will get me down to about 6'-8". I wonder if this is a problem.
I'm also wondering about control room size and if relative locations of rooms are good. From a design/ergonomics standpoint, I like the way I would be able to see performers from the control room, but I'll take any input at this point.
