anyone know this book?

I've had this book kicking around for ages that was picked up at a used book sale at some point. It's called "The Acoustical Foundations of Music" by John Backus, published by Norton. (2nd edn - 1977)
Does anyone have an opinion on it?
I have noticed, of course, that there is tonnes of great info here too.
