Corner Absorbers or Bass Traps??

I've finished construction on a 10'x14'x8' project studio. Now I'm starting to think about acoustic treatments inside the room.
Question: what are the advantages/disadvantages between using broadband corner absorber (i.e. the 'superchunk' http://www.bobgolds.com/TrapHarder/home.htm) vs. actual bass traps (or heimholz resonators) with a solid or perforated panel in front. I would build both of them in the corners or my room, so that the bass traps/resonators would be broadband.
Does one absorb bass better than the other? I realize that the high frequencies will be reflected more from the 'real' bass traps. At this point I am more worried about bass absorbance, since my room is small. I can always treat for higher frequencies later.
Thanks!
