2 questions about treatment

Hi, I have a 10x12x8 mixing room and I was going to follow the plans here for my treatment... http://www.johnlsayers.com/HR/index1.htm I have burbur carpet and drywalls and a drywall ceiling with insulation behind them. (don't know what kind)

2 Questions:

What thickness of 703 do you recommend for my bass traps and absorbers in this room?

Also, there is a door where the left bass trap on my front wall would go, so I have two options. Build a movable trap or not do any bass traps on the front wall. What would you recommend?

Thanks for any advice or answers,
Great

For a room with those dimensions, you'll have a bit more modal mess to smooth out; I'd use 4" thick if you can, with as much air behind it (no backing board or this is worthless) as you can spare. If you can find a source of rockwool/mineral wool, you'll probably spend about half as much.

Door - yes, build a movable gobo (again, no backing) to place there when mixing. Something like this

or, for a "to the floor" version you can do offset casters with locks, John posted a pic somewhere quite some time back... Steve
