Hi I'm new..I'm not sure what question to ask first!


I have a room (tracking/control combo)..I think it might be usefull to build some kind of absorbing panels..(I don't know if it will be)..

I guess I'm asking how to approach the problem of improving acoustics in MY room..and by improving I mean making it easier and faster for me to work..getting better sounds, etc.

How should I start/approach this?

What do you need to know to help?

I like the sound of my room..I like to do everything live..and when its a dense loud rock band things can get a bit muddy and cluttered sounding and its much harder to manage everything/and come off with amazing sounding results..I feel absorbtion is the right thing to start with because there seems to be too much energy in the room in those situations..also I recently sat in on a mastering session and realized the logic of monitoring in a considerably more dead room..my room now is very live..plaster, concrete and floated pine 1" over the concrete/plaster walls..its aboot 2800 cubic feet..400 something square feet..

I read it and added my location to my profile, read through the basics, UTFSFed, downloaded roomtune, and will come up with a more specific description of the space and a set of goals soon..
