Minimum room size for 15" soffit mounts

Hi - I just moved into a new home and I'm in the design phase of my studio build. I have a pair of Tannoy M1000 15" dual-concentric monitors that I've had in storage from a previous studio I had. I would love to make these part of my new room, but I'm wondering if they're just going to be too big for the room. I have some flexibility in how large I can make the control room, but at the expense of the size of the live room. Acoustically, is there a minimum control room size that's appropriate for monitors like these?

I have nothing to offer to your post (sorry, duh..) , but I've got some arden dual concentrics (ardens) that a friend of mine will lend me for use in a new studio I'm building, so I have similar concerns. My control room is smallish to medium (12' wide in the front, 20' wide at the back, by about 18' deep, and 13' or so high, [hard dimensions]), and I'm having the same thoughts...

Tannoy concentric speakers tend to have razor sharp imaging, but a very small sweet spot, so you'll really need to get the positioning right. They probably will soffit mount just fine, but be aware that given that they are horn tweeters that they sound pretty bad off axis.
I can't say whether or not they are too big for your room or not...try some experiments for yourself. How close can you listen to them and have them still sound well balanced?

These are such tall speakers. Is it OK to flush mount them upside down, so the bass ports are on top? or is it taboo to mount them rightside up with the ports aiming (nominally) towards the back of the console?

Shouldn't make any difference if they are mounted upside down.....
