Hi guys,
just curious as to what the best bet would be for sound isolation for my situation. it's a shed converted room outside the house with permitted electrical. its 11' x 10'. Im going to use it just as a simple jam room for drums and guitar. i just want to minimize the noise transferred outside

it has vinyl siding outside, then 3/8 ply, insulation and 3/8 inch ply. its got 3/4 plywood floors on wood piers.
i dont have too much room to lose, but i can lose maybe 6 inches per wall if i really had to.

Will simply just creating mass by adding multiple layers of plywood & drywall help better, Or would a small air gap & less mass be more helpfull for this situation?

any comments would be greatly appreciated.

A couple layers of sheetrock of different thickness, rockwool or equivalent AFB and an air gap is your best bet. Drums are so loud and punchy that just about the only thing to quiet it from the outside is mass, heavy mass.
