Rockwool

I see in a lot of posts here about using Rockwool. What is it and what's a source for it? I did a search on the net for it and only gave me sites on hydroponic plant growing.

and type in "mineral wool insulation" - (without the quotes, of course) - You'll get a bunch of things to look at.

Rockwool, if I'm not mistaken, is sort of a trade name of one (forget which) of the manufacturers. some use slag mixed with rock products, others just crushed and spun rock, etc - all similar in acoustic properties, but some differences. Mineral wool is the more generic term... Steve

This might help as well. As you are in Rochestor you are VERY close to Canada

This is the brand I used in my Studio

They also have an office in Buffalo. Basicly it is 30 cents per foot.
