Neutrik has a line of combo connectors that accept 1/4" and xlr in the same connector. I have found them relatively cheap at www.MOUSERS.com. My question is which ones do i need ?

I know i want the 1/4" to be stereo or trs but normalling and non normalling is new territory to me. any help here would be awesome.

i am thinking the NCJ6FI-S but normalling has me confused.

This is the entire line listed.

Combined XLR receptacle and phone jack. New attractive `front end` design (30% less protruding from panel than original). Saves racks space by combining 2 connectors in one housing. Horizontal or vertical PCB mounting or hard wire soldering. Full normalled. Stereo or mono version. Very low conductor capacitance, therefore suitable for Digital Audio. Fully compatible to the predecessor Combo. Fastening: Self-tapping PTĀ® screws with thread 2.9x1.06 and tri-rondular configuration.

For what application are you trying to use them for?
This will be dependent on what model you require.

basically just mic inputs from the room to the console, 1/4" direct lines if needed, and headphone mixes from console to room. Really i probably could just do the normal xlr and a few 1/4" jacks for headphones but these high quality connectors are really cheap.

What kind of headphone/cue system are you setting up? Are you running an amplified signal w/ headphone boxes in the tracking rooms? If so, you'll want to use Male 3 pin XLR connectors (this way you don't accidently plug a mic into it).
