Has anyone got any experience or ideas on UPS suppliers in Oz?
Preferably Sydney....but then again..

I saw this - maybe I should just run my PCs and outboard gear from it?

No need to run amps from UPS right etc? All I want to do is stop pops when tracking from the fridge and HVAC...might be nice in case of lightening strike...

Sideshow,
Your post is a few months old, but better late than never.
I've run 6 servers on that UPS, it's very effective at evening out variable voltage, brownouts, and even running up to half an hour or so without mains power.
Be aware though, that when your mains power cuts out (sometimes even a voltage drop), it starts emitting an incredibly loud alert tone. You may need to get in there and disconnect the internal speaker.
Other than that, it's completely silent (no fans etc).

Thanks Adam,
Is it loud for a control room?
My PC has a 500w power supply so it should suffice right?
As a matter of interest - Your 6 server power supplies - how many watts do they chew?
Cheers Adam

Completely silent, and yes that would be ample for 1 pc with an LCD monitor.
The servers each had ~300 watt power supplies, but they obviously weren't pulling their peak power.
The APC ones generally come in rackmount form as well, which may be a bit sexier in your studio. If you're on a budget, there are often
cheap used UPSs to be found.
