Testing The System

Alrighty...

We've all taken great pains to insure proper grounding. What methods do we have for actually testing to see if it is actually working? Is there a way to test your grounding system with a multimeter? Maybe measuring resistance to ground or something like that?

I realize the overall test is to plug everything in, turn it on, and listen but introduces so many other factors (like your audio wiring installation). There has to be a way to test the grounding system itself before you even turn on the gear so that you know, fo' sho', that any problems that may arise are not in the system but in the gear.

Also, there is so much talk of 'bad' and 'dirty' power. How can we test our power to make sure it's all good as well?

I don't have a specific reason to ask this. I was just looking through and reading some posts and realized, "Hey! How the heck do we test all this?!"

Peace,
Brad
