the start of my studio

John/All-

Here is the start for my project studio.

It is located in my basement with 8" full height concrete walls on 2 sides.
Concrete slab on the floor, and a disappointing 7'-8" ceiling height.

I am putting the majority of the space within the control room, so that it can double as a small rehearsal room, with a small iso booth for vocals, an amp, or the occasional small drum kit.

What do you all think?
Any input on the specific angles and proportions of the walls, John?

Thanks for all of your help-

JP

That looks good jp, is the booth a bit too small. It would be a very small kit for sure.:)
cheers

p.s. thanks for the help on the attachments. I found only this forum didn't allow posting !! Duh!

I agree about the size of the booth. What do you think the minimum dimensions would be for a room with a 4pc Ringo kit?

What about the suggested angle of the walls? (I just set them at 6 degrees randomly).

Any other layout ideas given the tight space?

Thanks

If you could increase the 7'2" dimension to 12' you might have a better sized booth.
Perhaps you could enter the control room from the left hand side leaving the rear wall clear for the couch and traps??
