The power of the Closet

Hello!
I'm far away from build my own studio.
Currenly I'm using my bed room as home studio. I think this could be a stupid question, I don't know.
I have a closet that fills the wall behind me (when I sit at the desk).
What is the power of absorption of a closet full of dresses?
Another thing: if I keep the closet open I feel a little strange while monitoring. It seems like to be in a anaechoic chamber.
