Hello my room and story are here:

If any one would be so kind as to give an opinion...
My question is concerning first reflection points. My room is mostly symmetrical with the exception of a door on one side and a window on the opposite side. These both lie in the 38% of room length range (assymetrically). Since it will not be possible to hang absorbing panels symmetrically, I was thinking I could use curtains (like heavy theater curtains) to pull over both to create a symmetrical RFZ.
or
Is the goal of the RFZ to simply stop reflections or is more specific absorption required?
Thanks
Nick

Most curtains are not thick enough to absorb to a usefully low frequency. However, you could bolster them with a backing of fluffy fiberglass three inches thick. You'll probably need to make these curtains yourself since more fabric would be needed on the back side to keep the fiberglass from shedding into the room.
