Construction of Quick Sound Field

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Construction of Quick Sound Field

Post by the_al »

hi to all :D

I've red on a book of Alton Everest about Quick Sound Fields (rooms, especially for vocal tracking).

Does anybody know how I can built it, and which kind of tube traps I need to install?

thanks,

daniel.

Did a quick Google search, it was the first on the list -

http://www.asc-studio-acoustics.com/qsf.htm

for possibly more info, I used the search string "Alton Everest Quick Sound Field" - (the quotes are there just to show what words I used)

BTW, have your (fat) wallet handy, these aren't cheap especially in any quantity - If you're into DIY, seems like I've seen people who've made similar units themselves, don't remember where.

Hope that helps... Steve
