what do you think about this plan?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

hi!

I've found this plan (I think here or in the net; I don't remember exactly where) and I would ask you, what do you think about. :)

It is quite probably that it fit for my studio project.

You found it here -

And, since Dave Tess isn't selling his time as a studio designer, I wouldn't think he'd mind (How 'bout it, Dave?)

Main thing when building is to follow the basic rules for sound isolation (unless it isn't a problem in your area for either you or your neighbors) - The sticky section has lots of useful info on this... Steve

hi knightfly! oh yes, i've found in that post.. !

if you have time, I have a question about the walls (the grey in the picture, also inside the other walls). do you think it is essential that these walls are of concrete or can it be of made of wood?

bye, daniel :)

Daniel, they can be made of wood if it's done right - multiple layers of gypsum wallboard on either wood or steel frames is one of the better ways to build walls. Check out the "sticky" called "complete section" for more details... Steve

It's a little more difficult to run wiring thru concrete than it is to run it thru a wood or steel stud wall...
