How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

I am building this studio on the ground floor with a studio apartment above.

Floor is concrete with industrial carpet.
Walls are Drywall seemingly without any insulation
Ceiling is Drywall seemingly without any insulation
Ceiling has a wood beam running across middle.

Thoughts:
Expand the Bathroom a foot and a half - install shower
Condense wall to have a bigger open space with Microwave and sitting area.
Have the Door swing outside instead of inside.

In room have a small vocal booth - Not these dimensions but 6' x 7' - A Box within a box.

Based on all the reading ...
Ceiling:
Pull down to studs
Insulate
5/8 Drywall
Green Glue
5/8 Drywall
Resilient Channel
5/8 Drywall
Green Glue
5/8 Drywall

Existing Walls:
Blow in Insulation
5/8 Drywall
Green Glue
5/8 Drywall

Remove Back window

Keep 2 windows on side
3x 1/8" thick laminate glass

That would create a three-leaf situation... low frequency isolation would potentially suffer.

Blown-in insulation is not recommended, since it is very hard to ensure even coverage with no flanking paths. It is much better to use either fiberglass insulation or mineral wool insulation, in batts or rolls.

Once again, that would create a three-leaf system, with poor low frequency isolation. You should only ever have 2 leaves in your isolation system: never one, never three. Also, 1/8" glass is very thin: you won't get much isolation from that, even in a 2-leaf system. I'm not even sure if they make such thin laminated glass. That implies two layers of 1/16" glass, plus the interlayer. If you are going to use 2 layers of 5/8 drywall on each leaf in your walls, then you need 1/4" laminated glass in each leaf, in order to get the same surface density. (2 layers of 5/8" plus GG is about 28 kg/m2. 1/4" laminated glass is about 28 kg/m2)

Thanks for your input...

So on the ceiling you would suggest...
Insulation between the cavity
Two sheets of 5/8 Drywall with Green glue in between

Should I use SheetBlok / Mass Loaded Vinyl?

Is that it or do I put the Resilient channel strips and mount the drywall onto that?

Walls - Go to studs and use mineral wool... understood

Use 1/4" Laminate glass x 2 where the windows are...

So My Ceiling would be Right at 8' 1"

Flooring suggestions?

Vocal Booth suggestions?

Right. And also... :
do I put the Resilient channel strips and mount the drywall onto that?
Yes!

In other words, first put up the RC on the joists, then the first layer of drywall, then put the GG on the second layer and lift that into place.
Should I use SheetBlok / Mass Loaded Vinyl?
No. Not necessary. A lot of extra cost for little-to-no extra benefit.

Yup!
Flooring suggestions?
Plain old laminate flooring on good acoustic underlay would be an excellent choice.
