fan advice

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Hi ,

I am sorry if this has been dealt with a lot but
I am about to install 2 hvac ventilation units as per drawings on this site .

Can you please advise me on whether both in and out boxes need fans and can the fan be on the outside of my external wall to keep the noise down. Drawing attached.

Can you also point me to a quiet fan and what size would be needed for my room , 3x4 metres height 2.3.

Many thanks,

Charlie

You only need one fan, if your room is built properly and sealed properly.

That's what I normally do, yes. I use an exterior rated fan, on the outer end of the exhaust duct.

Fantech has a couple of good ones that I have used in a few studios.
