Duct Liner?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

I am working on the air exchange for my studio rooms. I keep reading about "duct liner", but I can't seem to find any specific info or description of the stuff. Is it similar to compressed fiberglass or something different?

Rod is the AC guru.

He has recommended to me the Johns Mansville product Super Duct.
