Killatone interior rout

Out of curiousity : I noticed in the Killatone schematic that you routed the inside edge of the speaker hole. Why?

I know you routed the exterior edges to minimize edge diffraction. Same reason for the interior rout?

Rounding the inner edge helps reduce air turbulence and standing waves that can form.
