Alternative wall covering

I'm looking for products available in Canada for basement wall covering. I know that Owen's Corning does make interesting products but are only avaliable trough specialized or trained contractor so it is not available at your hardware store.

My friend doesn't like drywall and joints(and the dust) and would like to have wall pannels that he could dissassemble if necessary to add/change/repair anything inside the wall. This product should not be cost prohibitive too.

The main purpose for his basement is Gym training with all the toys associated with and a stock room for tools.

This is not for a studio but added soudproofing is a welcome.

His walls are made of 2X4 steel studs with roxul 4" and 1 coat of anything to be found to cover both side of his basement walls.

The ceiling is made of two layers of 4"roxul with suspended accoustic tiles.
