What thickness of neoprene would be appropriate?

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

I am wondering what thickness of neoprene I will need to lay under my wooden floor in my slowly building studio.

Anyone know where I can get some from....in the UK?

Also if I just fold a roll over, is it as good?

i.e. if I need 6 mil and I can only get 3 mil....

Studiospares do sheetblok underflooring, which isn't the same thing I know, but might do. They also do neoprene strips and various other acoustic malarky

Check out this place too:

http://www.customaudiodesigns.co.uk/

They offer discounts on bulk orders and if you're local to them you might be able to arrange an even bigger discount by endorsing their services if you're a commercial venture (I didn't tell you that though!).
