Two solid pieces has worst performance than two laminated glass?

I agree with the Auralex link; for a better idea of why laminated glass is better than plain glass, read any of Brian's explanations on Green Glue (at RO and Studiotips) and Constrained Layer Damping - the material between sheets of glass (the laminating material) will damp the glass in the same way. That is why laminated glass outperforms plate glass of the same thickness... Steve
