Soffit-mounting monitors...

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

Soffit-mounting monitors...

Post by chinocurva »

Hello there, you people!

Well, I'm trying to find some hints to build the "skeletons" for soffit mount a pair of KRKs in my control room.
My question is how do I do to secure the stand columns that support the weight of the monitors to the floating floor without the risk to touch the concrete floor...? (Am I being clear...??? :( )

Don't know if the topic was posted before, I didn't found it...
I do have some pictures of soffit constructions. But none of them shows how the stand is attached to the floor...

Thank you for reading... and answering.

Regards.

Does anybody have an idea...? Knightfly...? Mr. Sayers...?

Did I explain myself wrong? That could be possible... :(

Thanks.

Chino.

Thank you very much, John!! Mr. Sayers himself, what an honor...! Hahaha!
Yes, evidently I was missexplaining myself...

I'll pass de information to the carpenters.

Any suggetion for the inner hanger? Is it necessary to build it? Can I reenforce the ammount of insulation instead of it...?

Thanks a lot again.

Chino.
