sealing doors - neopreme vs "bat wings"

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

sealing doors - neopreme vs "bat wings"

Post by gigpiglet »

i am up to sealing the doors in my studio.
i have single frame walls, with single solid core doors.

i intend on using raven drop seals (RP8 or RP60) and then sealing around the edges of the the jamb with either.......?
1. self adhesive neopreme (as discussed in other posts) OR
2. a raven product called "bat wings" it is a little 90 degree, self adhesive, rubber flap on both sides (hard to describe) thing that fits into the door jamb.

does anyone have any experience with this?
either option is around the same price, just wondering what would be most effective..

thanks

Soooo, when a Musician dies, do they hear the white noise at the end of the tunnel??!? Hmmmm...
