i also want to make everything from scratch...
this site is really cool
and i want to design it like that in my room
i was wondering if this will get my room perfect for my recording?
i dont care about extra sound from the outside because its sooo quiet in here....i just came about my recording being just my voice and no extra room sounds etc....bo slap backs or what not......i hate my recording because my voice doesnt seem to stick the the mic and catches a lot of extra space etc....
i read all the sites that i was supposed to read....seriously everything....but i dont really know where to start
first off, as far as i understand my MAIN SOURCE is
Rigid Fiberglass
which i can get no problem...
but i just dont know how much of everything i need ect
i included the pic below....i just have carpeting down....thast all...the room is empty....
i dont get how much of everything and what exactly to put...like i know what everything does and how to make it...but dont know the quantity...
for example...i know i need 2 bass traps per corner...thats times 4...so its 8 bass traps.....plus dont i need 2 more bass traps on each big wall and 1 on small walls? so thats 6.............8 plus 6.......thats 14 bass traps...
also 2 on each door......so thast 16 bass traps......what else...
how many broadband absorbers?
about 4 clouds right?
i need to also treat the windows i guess
please help...

Please start by reading and following everything in the "Before You Post" Announcement.Love Music wrote:i read all the sites that i was supposed to read....seriously everything....but i dont really know where to start
There's probably more that you need to do/change in your initial post to conform with the standards of this forum, but I don't have time this morning to go through it point by point.
Once you've complied with the basics, I'm sure you'll be able to get some advice from the experts here . . . And you'll learn a lot following all of the "required reading" links too, thus answering many of your own questions.
