I have poured through a huge number of posts here and I am now LOST....I plan on constructing this type of wall and ceiling....no floating floor. I want to be able to play late nite hours without neighbors inside their houses being bothered.. The room will be 12'x10'

I feel your pain. Soundproofing is confusing... At least, at first. Once you get the basics down, it starts to make sense.
You need something funny and you need it now -- check out Stages of Soundproofing Enlightenment. I think you're at Stage 13.
This forum has some great information, that's for sure. However, it can be confusing because it's kind of like trying to learn a new language just by listening to others talk.
Perhaps a good source of information to get you "unconfused" is Part IV ("Isolation") of the Acoustic FAQ at forum.StudioTips.com. There are four well-written articles (Partition Walls, Ceilings, Windows, and Doors) that give you the basics.
Of course, you'll need to read and follow the instructions of the "Before You Post" announcement, and the almighty Reference Area.
What really confused me at first were the mixed messages I was getting between various sources on the Web. I finally realized that much of the confusion I experienced was due to unsubstantiated claims made by unscrupulous manufactrers of "soundproofing products."
Hang in there, Larlev. Sit back, spend a few hours (days?) here, reading, learning, and it will all start to make sense.
