Who can I pay to design and construct my studio in SoCal?
I have a bunch of gear set up at my current space, but it's just not happening. I wanna take the jump to getting a place completely built out from scratch and I have no idea where to start. Anyone know where to start? Who do I contact. I know first I have to get the space. But after that, I wouldn't know where to go.

Before anyone can answer this here are some questions
The question you have asked about design and building a studio is a pretty broad question and most here will probably have the same questions Like, Where are you in Southern California? What is your real budget for the construction, what do you want to do, record, mix both? Are you recording a band or individuals? That would be a good place to start, the Budget being #1 because with out a handle on that, with out that it's hard to start. John Sayers here is an excellent designer, fair and very responsive, you may want to start a conversation with him, then decided on your budget and then come up with a location
I use to live in South Orange County ,I had a design done (before I met John) and our garage conversion ran us about $50,000 excluding equiptment.. but again, perhpas you can better outline your needs, budget and location. davidk@eaglecanyon.com
