what kind of stuff is used for joining stud to stud and etc.

How thick should my walls be, should I float my floors (and if so, how), why is two leaf mass-air-mass design important, etc.

I visited the following url.

I am wondering that what kind of stuffs are used for joining stud to stud and stud to gypsum board and joist to floor panel

I assume that framing connector is used for joining stud to stud, which i attaced by embed imgfile
If it is true, what kind of framing connector is mainly used for building frame?

First of all, studs are vertical and do not connect to each other, so I have no idea what you mean by "joining stud to stud." :?

Second of all, why did you choose johnsayers11 as your username? We already have a John Sayers here and we rather like him...

My walls were built using grabber screws to join studs to the joists and floor sill.

Seems like most carpenters framing a house would use nails. I don't have a framing nail gun so I use screws. Besides, swinging a hammer all day long is hard on my joints.

Well, it's not my decision. If "the real John Sayers" doesn't have a problem with it, then I don't.

That being said, looking at the memberlist, seeing that "John Sayers Fan" is available as a username, perhaps that would be a better and less confusing choice.
