Hello...
I am in the process of building bass traps like the ones described by Ethan Winer (http://www.ethanwiner.com/basstrap.html).
His blueprints call for a caulk sealant in order to make the enclosure air tight. My question is this: Can I go to Lowes and get any silicon-based sealant, or should I pony up the cash for some StopGap (http://www.auralex.com/acoustic_sealant ... topgap.asp) or QuietSeal (http://www.quietsolution.com/Products/C ... lants.html)?
My budget will likely allow for me to purchase the higher priced sealants, but if they don't help much more than what I can get from Lowes, why spend the extra cash?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
